This is a poem I wrote almost ten years ago for a college poetry class. This was an attempt at a 'repetative chant' type poem... depends on your mood, I think. Try saying it out-loud, in a very serious and monotone voice.... Inspired by the Gulf War.
THE RIGHT HAND by ResQdog51
War am I,
The right hand of Death.
To me, the Red Sword was given.
War am I,
The right hand of Death.
Through me may act His agents.
War am I,
The right hand of Death.
And I am the Lord of Plague.
War am I,
The right hand of Death.
And I am the Bringer of Famine.
War am I,
The right hand of Death.
Through me the innocent suffer.
War am I,
The right hand of Death.
To me shall fall every nation.
War am I,
The right hand of Death.
And from me no man is free!
